LEJAY-LAGOUTE PUTS THE FIZZ IN PERFECT LOVE

London, January 9, 2005 -- Leading French liqueur maker Lejay-Lagoute, has created the ideal romantic combination for St Valentine's Day by twinning violet-scented Parfait Amour with champagne or sparkling white wine.

The fashion for Champagne with a splash of Perfect Love (Parfait Amour) has become the chic combination for cocktail parties and pre dinner aperitifs in France.

Now this loving duo of fragrance and fizz is poised to become popular in the UK as well, says Pascal Gourmelen, European Export Manager for Lejay-Lagoute. Pascale says the steely-blue Parfait Amour twinned with Champagne is also becoming the ultimate celebration drink for romantic occasions, weddings and wedding anniversaries.

Pascal adds: "Parfait Amour and Champagne should preferably be drunk a deux by candelight with your favourite person. It is a perfect cocktail for celebration at home or in a romantic restaurant."

Lejay-Lagoute has a distinguished record in creating classic drinks. In the middle of the 19 century they created crème de cassis, the basis of the famous Kir - white wine and cassis - and then followed it with Kir Royal: cassis with Champagne. To this day, Lejay-Lagoute is the only company permitted to market Kir Royal.

Parfait Amour, launched in the UK in October, is part of the wide range of high quality liqueurs made at the company's headquarters in Dijon in the heart of Burgundy.
