Homeworking website launches Community Channel - a route to business success

Enterprise Nation, the homeworking website, has launched a Community Channel that helps homeworkers build their business and socialise online.

The Community Channel offers forums for discussion, business and social networking and an easy route to meet and work with other homeworkers.

Members can promote themselves and their business through a profile which can be edited to include a logo, web address and description. This acts as a virtual business card and allows members to post questions or comments in the forum and advertise their service or product in a dedicated Marketplace.

Registration is free and includes access to the Community Channel as well as a fortnightly e-newsletter and podcast.

Emma Jones, founder and editor of Enterprise Nation, who operates her business from the West Midlands Region - the centre for home working in Britain, said:

“Our readers and listeners have asked us how they can grow their business and share ideas and experiences with one another. We have answered the call with the Community Channel. Even if you do not work from home but would like to, the Community Channel can help. The new feature has been designed as a guide through the homeworking cycle. With it, a member can begin working from home, if they do not already, find help getting set up and share business growth and success with new friends and colleagues.”

To celebrate its latest feature, Enterprise Nation has dedicated Episode 5 of its homeworking podcast to the topic of homeworking and community.

Guest speakers include Shadow Enterprise Minister, Mark Prisk MP, controversial journalist Helen Rumbelow (The Times) and Louise Leadbetter, founder of Honey PR, a successful business that delivers services to major multinationals through a home based community of PR professionals.
