London’s “Best Kept Secret” Hotel Chooses Touchstone Group for Back Office Solution.

Touchstone Group, provider of integrated business software solutions and consultancy, has won a deal to supply integrated back office financials to The Montcalm Hotel.

The Montcalm Hotel, part of the acclaimed Nikko Hotel Group, is known as London’s “Best Kept Secret”. With its elegant Georgian façade and located just off Marble Arch, the hotel’s raison d’etre has always been to provide a refined and tranquil English residence in the heart of the Capital. The welcome The Montcalm provides relies on two essential qualities, attention to detail and delivering the very highest standards of service for its guests.

Naturally, the IT systems required to underpin such standards need to be of the highest standards too. Following a recent decision to upgrade its whole back office IT portfolio, and a review of the market, The Montcalm has chosen Touchstone Group to deliver Infor FMS SunSystems Financial Management together with migration and installation consultancy.

Antonio Carvalho, The Montcalm’s Financial Controller and Company Secretary, says, “We knew exactly what we needed and chose Touchstone Group as they to best understood those needs. We were already aware of them through their involvement in BAHA (the British Association of Hospitality Accountants) and that they bring with them considerable experience of our market.

“The impact of their solution will be significant across many areas of our business, particularly in terms of management reporting and uploading information into Excel. This is especially important to generate the level and quality of information required by our hotel management.

“The new system will also take a lot of the pain out of consolidation, which we do every three months, and we expect it to really come into its own at the year-end too. Another benefit over the old system is that all transactions will be visible, allowing us to drill down into the data in greater detail.”
