Serving up the new '99 at Wimbledon!

Wimbledon is as synonymous with tennis as ice cream is with summer, and normally during The Championships, the two go hand-in-hand. However, this year, dedicated fans queuing for the tournament, were treated to a new type of refreshing snack.

At first glance, you may think dedicated Wimbledon fans are tucking into a traditional British ‘99, but in fact, the flakes have been replaced with fresh, crisp celery and teamed up with a cool and tangy sour cream and chive dip! Like Wimbledon, celery is quintessentially British, and its new British summer season starts at around the same time as Wimbledon.

There’s every reason to love celery. With vitamins A, B, C and P, minerals and trace elements, celery is a champion amongst veg. It is noted to help reduce cholesterol levels and fight ageing. It also contains phthalide which helps lower blood pressure

Celery is also low in Sodium, Cholesterol free, and virtually fat free (100g of celery – more than one recommended 5-A-Day portion – contains just 9 calories).
