Suffering in Silence

Over 6 million people in the UK suffer from it, one in five women and one in ten men are affected by it and the chances are you’ll know someone with this condition, but they'll have never spoken about it.

There are several degrees of incontinence from light to heavy. Stress incontinence predominately affects women and can occur during pregnancy, child birth and menopause or as a result of being overweight or a chronic cough.

An overactive bladder and overflow incontinence affects both men and women. It is often age related or the result of a stroke, spinal cord injury and debilitating illness.

Male incontinence or Post Micturition Dribble (PMD) is usually brought on by prostate problems, chronic cough, being overweight and neurological damage.
