REST IN PEACE THANKS TO UNIQUE NEW WEBSITE
One man’s thoughtful notion has led to the creation of an entirely unique website giving people the chance to leave their loved ones final messages for them to keep when they have passed away.
Today sees the official launch of a website that gives individuals the ability to leave messages to loved ones that will be passed on to them – after they pass away.
In an Internet first, SayItWhen.com, gives members of the public the ability to leave a personal video message, and/or audio and text messages to convey their final words to loved ones.
The website is a 24/7 service where messages can be stored securely until required for release. An appointed representative forwards a secure pin alongside a death advice notice to the website, upon the message originator’s passing, allowing the final messages to be delivered to the intended recipients.
The reassuring website is the direct result of 43 year old father of three, Andy Cotton’s reflections as he was about to board a plane.
“I thought, if I were to never see my family again; besides a will, how would they remember me?” said Andy.
“I started to question it all. I wondered what I would want them to know, and I even wondered what I would say if I was given the chance to say some final words. ‘Say it when...’ began at that moment, as I realised that many other people must feel exactly the same way. I hope it helps others.”
Users will be comforted knowing that they are helping their loved ones move on, and yet still leave fond memories behind, and thus allowing themselves to rest in peace.
“Anybody, young or old can use and benefit from this service, as unfortunately, you never really know when your time could be up,” Andy continued.
“Our aim is to put people’s minds at ease, and another way we feel that we can do this is through the fact that you can amend any message at any time.”
An additional feature of the site will be a forum which is intended to give visitors the opportunity to share their experiences with others. Andy says,
“The nature of our visitors and members is that they are often recently bereaved or perhaps suffering from terminal illness, in either case they face great challenges. I am hoping that this service will allow people to contact others in similar positions, with similar problems and benefit accordingly”
Founder Andy is hoping that the website will be able to link with related charities in the future, and hopes to donate financially to them in a projected partner scheme.
This site looks set to gain popularity as more and more people seek a form of immortality through their final messages living on.
