LOVE IS IN THE POST - ROYAL MAIL LAUNCHES NEW VALENTINE’S RETAIL STAMP BOOK
•Valentine’s Stamp books available to order from 15th January
Royal Mail has launched a new Valentine’s retail stamp book to help retailers boost stamp sales and enable their customers to post special loving greetings on Valentine’s Day.
The new stamp book contains four 1st Class Stamps and two stickers bearing the Valentine’s messages, “Be My Valentine” and “SWALK. With over 12 million cards set to be delivered by Royal Mail on Valentine’s Day the new stamp books will help retailers encourage customers to buy the stamps to ensure their card makes a great first impression when it arrives through the letter box.
Tony Lockey, Retail Marketing Channel Manager, Royal Mail said “Valentine’s Day is one of the UK’s biggest greetings events. We wanted to make sure that retailers can use this opportunity to increase their revenue through boosting stamp sales, and at the same time offer customers an easy way to make sure their cards carry a loving message both inside and out.”
The stamp books are expected to be extremely popular so retailers are advised to place their orders in good time. The stamp books are available for order from 15 January 2008.
The Valentine’s stamp books contain four standard definitive 1st Class stamps so any stamps which aren't used to send Valentine’s Day greetings can be used at a later date.

Royal Mail will provide retailers stocking Valentine’s stamp books with a special range of marketing materials to drive customers into their stores and in turn encourage them to purchase the stamps to post their Valentine’s Day greetings.
