WDM Netherlands chooses smartANALYZER


Bristol, UK, 8 March 2007 - smartFOCUS, an international vendor of enterprise marketing software, has announced Netherlands-based consumer data and database management company WDM (formerly Wegener DM) as a new partner and customer for the smartFOCUS suite of marketing analytics software.

smartANALYZER, smartFOCUS’s flagship marketing analytics product, is being used by WDM and its customers, including Nederlandse Hartstichting, to segment data and create reports from databases managed by WDM. WDM decided on a full roll-out of smartANALYZER following an initial six-month trial period.

The most significant market for WDM is the charity sector. WDM required a cost-effective and intuitive tool that would help its customers run complex queries and reports on the WDM databases quickly and easily. Thanks to smartANALYZER, WDM’s clients can now easily run queries in-house without support, which shortens the time to market for campaigns.

Bo Van der Puil, director of sales and operations at WDM, said: “Using smartFOCUS makes WDM more efficient. Queries that previously took six hours to run can now be performed in a fraction of the time using smartANALYZER. The ease of use also means that queries that had to be run by senior database managers can now be performed by junior members of the team. This frees up time for staff to focus on other important tasks and makes a great improvement to the services we provide to our customers and to our ability to react to market developments.”

WDM will be holding a customer event on the 7th March involving a presentation of the smartANALYZER application to 70 of its customers.
